Announcements: Seminars
Three renowned scientists, Frank Uhlmann (Cancer Research UK London Research Institute), Madalena Tarsounas (Oxford University) and Dimitris Iliopoulos (Harvard University) will be visiting University of Crete to teach for the Molecular Medicine Graduate Program of the Medical School. Frank, Madalena and Dimitris will also give seminars to be held at IMBB about their research. To Πανεπιστήμιο Κρήτης συντονίζει νέο Ευρωπαϊκό πρόγραμμα για την καταπολέμηση του καρκίνου.
Ένα νέο ερευνητικό πρόγραμμα που χρηματοδοτείται με 1,9 εκατ. ευρώ από το 6ο Πρόγραμμα Πλαίσιο Έρευνας και Τεχνολογικής Ανάπτυξης της Ευρωπαϊκής Ενωσης έρχεται να αναπτερώσει τις ελπίδες για την δημιουργία νέας αποτελεσματικής θεραπείας κατά του καρκίνου. Στο πρόγραμμα αυτό, συμμετέχουν συνολικά 7 ερευνητικά ιδρύματα και εταιρείες βιοτεχνολογίας από την Ελλάδα, Βρετανία, Γερμανία, Ιταλία, Σουηδία, Τσεχία και Φιλανδία, με συντονιστή το εργαστήριο Μοριακής και Κυτταρικής Βιολογίας του αναπληρωτή καθηγητή Αριστείδη Ηλιόπουλου στην Ιατρική Σχολή του Πανεπιστημίου Κρήτης.
