A research proposal by the Eliopoulos team entitled “Epigenetic regulation of damage-induced intestinal stem cell proliferation in Drosophila” was selected for funding by the Fondation Santé.

Publication: The Eliopoulos lab in collaboration with the Liloglou team at the University of Liverpool uncovered a novel function of TPL2 kinase as suppressor of lung carcinogenesis.

Zoe Veneti, a post-doctoral researcher in Eliopoulos' lab receives a highly competitive Siemens - IKY (State Scholarships Foundation) Fellowship of Excellence in post-doctoral studies.





Professor Aristides Eliopoulos coordinates a major European Commission FP7 capacities program aiming to enhance the University of Crete Medical School research potential in the fields of "Genomics" and "Regenerative Medicine".

Dimitris Kanellis, a graduate student in the Eliopoulos’ lab has been awarded a grant from the Greek General Secretariat of Research & Technology, under the UNISTEP-PLUS call for junior researchers, to pursue work on miRNA circuits in inflammation and cancer.
